Driving

People are not wired for driving. We cannot walk without occasionally stumbling over stuff below our relatively weak field of vision. We are a species that may very well drop our keys if merely hoisting one too many grocery bags. How we safely direct multi-ton machines (connected to terra firma with only a tiny patch of rubber), on crowed thoroughfares, at high speeds, is a mystery to me - even in good weather - let alone in poor weather, or at night, while talking on cell phones, listening (or even singing along) to the radio, while eating and drinking (and spilling) fast food in our laps. Yikes!

“Just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are even stupider”
- George Carlin
